Shala Monroque for Vogue Japan

This is what happens when a fashion insider (in this case Shala Monroque, the Creative Director of Garage magazine, I'm sure you already know her, I've talked about her before) becomes model for a while and let herself been photographed, the result? this wonderful editorial comes out.
Have you noticed she's smiling in (almost) every single picture? I truly love this woman ♥

If you want to see the rest of the pictures just click here.
PD. I'm sorry for the watermarks, but I couldn't do without showing you the pictures.

How I met your mother goes man repelling

When I saw Lily (from the serie How I met your mother) wearing a Thakoon jacket and a gorgeous Proenza Schouler bag I got so shocked! That's so man repelling! (see Leandra Medine, the girl behind the man repeller, wearing the same jacket here) So I decided to continue on and watch carefully .

How I met your mother have never been consider a great show for the characters' sense of style but for how incredibly funny it is (if you guys haven't seen it, you have to), but in the last few chapters the clothes seen on the show have improved so much. They wear a lot of Chloé, Stella McCartney, Diane Von Fustenberg and even a pair of Nike new balance! ♥

And the guys too. For example, how gorgeous is Ted Mosby's coat paired with beige trousers?

The importance of basics III

Hi everybody! Well, today is day to keep talking about the importance of having a wardrobe based in basic pieces, had you thought that the importance of basics section had finished?
Previously, we had talked about tops and bottoms, so now let's cover up with more basics.
What do we need?

Forth Step
I think every women should have one of the following items in their wardrobe:

Denim jacket: why is it important? Because you can pair it with almost everything, in summer, fall, spring, and it looks awesome over dresses whether they are formal. I would recommend to get one in a colour half between dark and light blue, and in a cut that fits you, not so long and not so short, you know what they say, "virtue is the mean".
Leather jacket: is the denim jacket version for winter. This one has to be real leather (plastic leather doen't count). I would get a brown or a black one, althought black will always be easy to put together. The most important thing is to take your time, it's not always easy to find the perfect piece that you could be wearing forever.
Blazer: I have to admit I still don't own the perfect blazer or actually any, but I would say the same as above; you might get a blazer not too formal or informal, wich you could wear to the office, to a party or just to hang out in the evening, that fits you and make you look a-we-so-me (just like Barney Stinson would say). The colour? The same as above, if you don't want another black piece, try navy blue or dark grey.
Coat: I'm sorry if I'm boring you, so just apply the same said before. It has to be right to be worn with skirts, pants, jeans or dresses. So I would say (once again) that grey/black are always the safest option. Why not brown? Because, what will you do when you're wearing something brown underneath?
Some cardigans or sweaters: Personally, I would go for cardigans first, but it's your choice. You can get them in any colour, length, bottoned or unbottoned, but not too tight or short (in my opinion).

Hope that this post has helped and liked somebody, and, as I always say, if you have any suggestion just say it! I want to hear your opinions ♥

Arizona

I've had this editorial saved in my computer for some time and I thought this rainy day was the perfect time to show you. I love Arizona Muse, and although the editorial is not actually new (it appeared in last august issue on Vogue UK) that's no reason not to show you if the pictures are as beautiful as these ♥

The Selby x Zara

I had thought about writting a different post today, but since I saw this video on Zara's webpage yesterday, I couldn't do anything but showing it to you.

If you visit Zara.com you'll see a new (and I think the first) collaboration between Zara and the Selby. Well, the result of that collaboration is the amazing video shown above, a video that Todd Selby has filmed about Lucy Chadwick, a british born girl, director of Museum52 art gallery in New York.
I'm not going to say anything else, just watch the video, that girl is pure loveliness, stylish, so inspiring and her house is as beautiful and creative as she seems to be ♥

Taylor's office

I was so surprised and happy when I saw that The Coveteur had photographed Taylor Tomasi's office! (I may sound a bit crazy but) I had been waiting a post about Taylor Tomasi-Hill since they started the website, and although they haven't photographed her house, but her office, I'm still pretty happy.
I'm sure you'll like the pictures and her accesories! ♥

Jewelry crush

First 2 necklaces and 3 coloured bracelets by Tom Binngs followed by Dannijo, Eddie Borgo spiked bracelets and finally Aurélie Bidermann creations

Hello dear people! how are you? quick post today with some pieces that definetely will captivate your eyes (and you too).

I've never been a girl who use to love jewels and I'm not accostumed to accesorize me too much. In fact, I'm always wearing the same few bracelets (two friendship bracelets and a silver one) and a watch, but I've always love beautiful jewelry, I remember loving Tom Binns and watching his collections and necklaces over and over again a few years ago.
And now, as I've been discovering some bloggers and editors who tend to accesorize a lot I've saved some jewelry designers on my mind and on my computer and adding some new brands to my "mental wishlist". And this is the result, some pieces and brands that I love and that I can't stop thinking about, and I'm sure you will like them too ♥

Thinking about party dresses

I know it's very VERY soon, but I can't avoid thinking about dresses for new year's eve.
I've seen lots of beautiful dresses but they're very expensive for my budget...
I don't know what to do, if you buy a dress in Zara you'll have to "keep your fingers crossed" hoping not to see someone with the same dress as you, in Mango there are too dressed up... I guess I'll end looking in the last minute in Topshop like every year.
Have you already thought what would you like to wear? ♥

PD. Have you seen MK Olsen in these pictures? She looked gorgeous back in those days. I still like her, but in my opinion she looked way more beautiful some time ago. Anyway, I wouldn't mind to borrow one or two dresses from her wardrobe for that night

Drawing magazine covers

A long time ago I came across John Paul Thurlaw's work. He's a fabulous artist who reproduces magazine covers in pencil. I'm a big fan of his drawings and of the fabulous idea of drawing magazine covers, so when I discovered Cate Parr's watercolour covers I thought I had to share their work with you.
Aren't they amazing? ♥

Summer days are gone

Hi, how are you doing? Yes, I know that some of you have been wearing jackets and sweaters since a long time, but I couldn't miss the chance to wear bare legs for, what probably was, the last time this year. So, when I saw the radiant sun through the window this morning I just put on my favourite rumper and made it a little less summery; wearing a long sleeve tshirt and a vest over it, ta daaaa! ♥

PD. I had de opportunity to make new friends as you can see on the second picture below
