Cara by Matt Irwin

Guys and girls, this is Cara Delevingne shoot by Matt Irwin (although, if you tell me it's Terry Richadson I would believe you) for the last issue of Style.com Magazine. She looks gorgeous, right? I have to admit, that I wasn't a big fan of Cara until sometime ago, when I started seeing images of her outside the shows, with her funny faces, and that was what convinced me. Is that why I'm showing you this editorial? No! Then, why? Because of the make up. There are so many great ideas for those who, like me, are not used to go out with something different to foundation+blusher+eyeliner ♥

Chicas y chicos, aquí tenéis a Cara Delevinge para el último nº de Style Magazine. Las fotos son de Matt Irwin, aunque si alguien me dijera que fue Terry Richardson quien las hizo no sería capaz de decir que no. La verdad es que en un principio no me gustaba mucho Cara, pero con sus caretos y poses divertidas a la salida de los desfiles me terminó ganando. Pero no es por eso por lo que os estoy enseñando las fotos, sino por el maquillaje. Sí, sí. Ahora que llegan las fiestas (o en cualquier momento realmente) se agradece un poco de inspiración para salirse del típico eyeliner+base+colorete. 

Theo Altenberg

Hello everybody! I've had these images saved in my computer for a really long time. These paintings are from the great artist Theo Altenberg, who also takes photographies, but in my opinion, they're not as good as his super colorful paintings. They're beautiful, aren't they? ♥

¡Hola a todos! Hace tiempo que tenía guardadas en mi ordenador estas fotos de las obras de Theo Altenberg. También se dedica a la fotografía, pero en mi opinión, sus pinturas son mucho mejores. 

Garance is easily one of the most stylish women I have ever met. After spending the last few years living together I think I have finally figured out her secret to great style.

Garance has an ability to make her decisions based on the intrinsic beauty of any item and not be awed by the status of a designer label or deterred by the stigma of an item being "common".

It sounds like an easy concept, but don't we all know people that try to buy style?

I couldn't agree more with Scott. If you haven't already taken a look at Garance's style, you should. That girl is awesome.

Style in films: À bout de souffle

A few days ago I watched Breathless, or À bout de souffle, but not because I wanted but because I had to (I have to say it). But since the first minutes of the film I thought that I had to share some images with you. The film is about Patricia (Jean Seberg) a -not so- typical american girl that travels to Paris to study there and meets the bad boy, Michel (played by Jean-Paul Belmondo). The wardrobe is gorgeous, a lot of stripes, 60s dresses, eyeliner, hats, suits... everything very classy and stylish, but you know, it was Paris in the 60s, how could it be? ♥

El otro día vi Al final de la escapada (tengo que decirlo, no por gusto, sino por un trabajo para la universidad que tengo que hacer) y supe que tenía que enseñaros imágenes de la peli y de lo guapísima que sale (y es) Jean Seberg. Para los que no la hayáis visto, interpreta a Patricia, una chica americana que va a París a estudiar y que se medio enamora de Jean-Paul Belmondo, que en la peli hace de Michel, y bueno... no os voy a desvelar la película por si la veis. El vestuario es genial, y os aseguro que es lo menos pensado de toda la película, pero claro, todas esas prendas de rayas, trajes, sombreros y vestidos rollo 60 tiene su encanto.

Fall wishlist

As I do very often, these are the things that have been going round and round in my head lately, and that I wouldn't mind putting my hands on (I mean, maybe not these exactly, but similar ones). 

A cool vintage tshirt, pretty miniskirt, cashmere cardigan, cool basic clutch, colour loafers, extra-warm parka.

Como hago muy a menudo, aquí os dejo la lista de cosillas que han estado rondando mi mente estas últimas semanas, las cuales por cierto, no me importaría nada tener en mi armario para este otoño (quiero decir, no esas precisamente, pero sí algo bien parecido).

Una camiseta vintage, una minifalda bonita, algún cardigan super suave de cashmere, unos mocasines de colores, un parka super calentito y un clutch para no soltar en toda la noche. 

Saluts de France: Part II

Hey! How are you doing? It's been a long time. I really hope you're doing as well as I do. Living an Erasmus is something every student should do, seriously, but if you're no longer a student, visiting the south of France is not bad either. A few weeks ago I had the chance to go to Carcassonne, a beautiful medieval village, where I ate a delicious crêpe that a blow of air knocked over... but that's another story. Anyway, I miss you. Hope you're all having a beautiful week ♥¡Hola a todos! ¿Que tal? Espero sinceramente que estéis tan contentos como yo, a los estudiantes os tengo que decir: si tenéis la oportunidad de disfrutar de una beca Erasmus, hacedlo. Y a los no estudiantes... bueno, si podeis hacer un viaje por el sur de Francia, esto no esta nada pero que nada mal. Hace unas semanas tuve la oportunidad de ir a Carcassonne, un pueblo medieval precioso, por lo menos para mi gusto, donde me comí por cierto un crêpe buenísimo hasta que una corriente de aire me lo tiró al suelo (sí, sí, eso no pasa sólo en los comics o comedias tontas), pero eso es otra historia. 

En definitiva, nos vemos muy pronto, ¡pasad una bonita semana!
